Get your natural remedies together, cold season is on it’s way!

In Need of Natural Remedies (sick)

Where’s Grandma’s Chicken Soup?

It’s that season again…..head cold, sinus congestion, sinus pain, dripping nose, headache, etc.

Just one drop of peppermint essential oil on a tissue or in the palm of your hands to inhale will clear your nose instantly!

If you are open to natural remedies that really work, experiment with the essential oils of peppermint, Thieves*, eucalyptus, and purification*. You may inhale, apply topically, or diffuse. Essential oils do not have the 24-hr. long term effects like cold/sinus meds. So you need to use them on-going throughout your day. And you will not have negative side-effects that one gets from over-the-counter cold remedies!

A good bath salt recipe to relieve cold symptoms:

  • 2 drops of eucalyptus radiata
  • 6 drops of frankincense
  • 6 drops of spruce
  • 15 drops of ravensara
  • 8 drops of wintergreen

You can also try a popular alternative which is a neti pot to rinse nasal passages with warm salt water. Or, you can swab the inside of your nose with purification oil.

Successful testimonies are abundant when one ingests Thieves oil (only therapeutic grade oils can be ingested safely). Just use 3-15 drops in a capsule three times a day at the lst sign of a sniffel or scratchy throat. Always start out with a small amount and increase gradually. For sensitive adults or children, just apply several drops to your feet morning and evening. Thieves oil contains clove, lemon, cinnamon bark, eucalyptus and rosemary. These are antifugal, antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-infectious.

Purification oil contains citronella, lemongrass, lavandin, rosemary, melaluca , and myrtle which support immune function.

Blessings,

Marlene Leitman
