Balance and a New Challenge

marcHello there Raised Path Members!! You haven’t heard from me for a while, and I promised to get back to you on what’s next for me. After I completed the 12 weeks off Body-for-Life and took my pictures, I decide to take a few weeks off from the diet.

Here’s what has happened since then. I ended up getting sick and had to take some anti biotics. I wasn’t doing well and couldn’t do cardio for a few weeks. I was also eating what I wanted and my body managed to stay in good shape. I gained about 5lbs back.

I started resuming the exercise portion of the Body-for-Life program and have been on it consistently ever since. My left knee was bothering me for a few weeks so I laid off of lifting on my legs for a bit, and things have been ok since then.

I started to think about what’s next and met with my doctor Joe Delgiodice and started to talk about a change in diet. I’ve been seeing Joe for about eight years now. Joe has been a strict vegetarian, following a vegan diet for 24 years. A few years ago, after I did a cleanse I started to follow a vegetarian diet. I was on for about two years and I felt great. Over the last year I went back to eating seafood and meat.

When I met with Joe, I expressed my desire to move back towards a vegan diet. I’m also curious about what changes I will see in my body now that I’m exercising again. I wasn’t exercising before when I was a vegetarian, so I don’t feel that I got the full benefits of it. I’m also concerned with making any type of transition smoothly. I have had a tendency in the past of going from one extreme to another. This time I’m shooting for balance.

I’m also feeling that I need a new challenge… There was something so wonderful and magical about those 12 weeks. Knowing that you would all be seeing me in my boxers 12 weeks later helped me maintain laser like focus.

I’m looking to harness that energy again in the next phase of my physical development.

On a personal note, I hope everyone loves the new site…we worked our tails off. If you haven’t had a chance to vote on our slogan, please do so now.

Thank you for you continued support and commitment

Marc

Balance is the biggest challenge for us all.
It is a personal journey, because there is no size that fits all.
    Keep on your search.
Searching is more important than finding
