I love the cooler nights and it’s great sleeping with the windows open. I enjoy the color of the leaves changing in local neighborhoods and parks. I can’t get enough of that burning, Halloween smell.
I love popping old movie classics in like To Kill A Mockingbird, Something Wicked This Way Comes, John Carpenter’s Halloween and The Fog, and my own short lived fun series The House of Death, hosted by the ever funky Sinclair Davenport(Of course played by my insane self).
I love driving by old graveyards, telling scary stories in the woods, reading non-fictional accounts of ghosts, and filming scary videos for youtube. I love candy, pumpkin flashlights used by the Trick or’ Treaters, and the taste and smell of hot, apple cider.
I love driving through Colts Neck, New Jersey and looking at the horse farms, eating at the Grist Mill with it’s beautiful view of the woods and pond, and hitting Delicious Orchards on the way back for Pumpkin Pie and Cider Donuts-There’s also plenty of healthy fruits and vegetables to enjoy!
What a time of year! If I had my way it would be six months of Fall, one month of Winter, and the rest goes to Spring and Summer. Everyone has a season. Mine is the Fall where Halloween and Thanksgiving fill me with scares and plenty of grub and fill my soul with a whole lot more.
